Overview

"With the help of a $5 million, five-year federal grant, the University of Washington State Gaining Early Awareness and Readiness for Undergraduate Programs (GEAR UP) Project focuses on helping more students from disadvantaged backgrounds go on to college.
In partnership with the Governor's Office and the Washington High Education Coordinating Board, the project works seeks to create lasting systemic change to the state's educational systems to ensure that more students -- regardless of background -- can enroll and succeed in higher education.
