TITLE: CWU MOSAIC2 GEAR UP Project Site Director
PAY RANGE: $28-36K 12 month contract.

JOB SUMMARY:
This individual will work under the direction of the school administration and NLA group Program Director to implement the CWU MOSAIC2 GEAR UP program. Under general direction, this individual will provide support to key program components, including tutor training and supervision, match collection, community service, and career exploration, among other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:

• Demonstrated success in coordinating resources from a variety of local and community-based organizations.
• Demonstrated success in implementing and administering similar programs for youth.
• Knowledge of community, educational and social service resources; familiarity with such resources in the community.
• Broad-based understanding of the cultural, economic and social issues facing low-income and disadvantaged students and families in the community.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of people, including local service providers such as schools, local colleges, community service organizations, as well as students from a variety of cultural, ethnic and social backgrounds.
• Strong administrative skills and experience.
• Sensitivity to cultural and community norms.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Creative problem- solving abilities and flexibility with program design and implementation.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The physical requirements indicated below are examples of the physical aspects that this position classification must perform in carrying out essential job functions.
• Persons performing service in this position classification will exert 10 to 20 pounds of force frequently to lift, carry push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
• This type of work involves sitting most of the time, but will involve walking or standing for brief periods.
• Perceiving the nature of sound, near and far vision, depth perception, providing oral information, the manual dexterity to operate business related equipment, and handle and work with various materials and objects.
• Able to climb stairs (no elevator).

NLA hires college work study students as tutors, lead tutors and administrative assistants for middle school and high school students in a one-on one or small group setting. Tutors w ill assist the students in various academic areas of reading, writing, math, science, biology, chemistry, language arts, and other academic subjects based on students’ needs. Pay Ranges from $8.67– $12.00 per hour. Training to be a tutor is provided.
